Changes for All Subclasses

· Less Finance Require compared to previous rules.
· Apart from standard 20 hours work permission during study period students can apply for Extended Period for 485 (Skilled Graduate Visa) - Up to 4 years of Full time work permission after study for selected courses and subject to eligibility
570 ELICOS
· No English language required for independent English course (ELICOS) up to 50 weeks.
· Maximum of 24 Months Finance required , As ELICOS is only 50 weeks student needs to show only 50 weeks of finance.
571 Primary and Secondary School Sector
· Indian and all other Assessment Level 1 ,2 and 3 students do not require IELTS or other language course. All other Assessment Level 4 countries school students can study up to 50 weeks of English course
· Only 12 Months of Finance Required, with 3 months of saving history and third party sponsor ship is valid
572 VET Sector ( Certificate III, IV, Diploma and Advance Diploma College Courses)
· Maximum of 24 Months Finance required , however if student is securing only 12 months visa then only 12 months of finance required
573 University Courses ( University Approved Diploma, Bachelor, Graduate Diploma & Master Courses)
· Maximum of 18 Months Finance required , 3 months saving history with Third party sponsorship is possible.
574 Higher Degree by Research ( Proposed Changes in 2012 – 2013)
· 3 Years visa after study for student who complete Master by research.
· 4 Years visa after study for students who complete PHD study in Australia.
· Unlimited work rights during study, So means no restriction of 20 hours. which means increase hither chance of job and affordability of higher studies.
· Increase of visa period from 2 months to 6 months to complete research project. meaning additional 6 months visa.
