Job Description :::::
 
  • Clean and Prepare Surfaces;

  • Mix Plaster Ingredients in Trough to Desired Consistency;
  • Apply, Level and Smooth Coats of  Plaster Using Trowels, Floats, Brushes and Spraying Equipment;
  • Finish Corners and Angles and Create Decorative Designs in Finish Coat If Required;
  • Cure Freshly Plastered Surfaces;
  • Mould and Install Ornamental Plaster Panels, Comices and Trim;
  • Spray Acoustic Materials or Texture Finish Over Walls and Ceilings.
 
Eligibility :::::
 

  • Secondary Education
  • 3 or 4 Year Apprenticeship Program in Plastering or Combination of Over 3 Years of Work Experience and Some High School, College or Industry Courses in Plastering is Usually Required.
 
Experience requirements :::::

  • Minimum 3 Years Experience is required.

English Language Requirements :::::

  • Vocational

Additional Requirements :::::
  • Must have a Journeyman's Certificate (or Equivalent) With a min. of 5 Years Experience in The Trade;
  • Must be Physically Fit and Able to Stand for Most of the Shift;
  • Must Get Along Well with Co-Workers;
  • The Ability to Work Independently Would be a Definite Asset.

  • Not Required

  • CAN $  21.75/hr

Note :::::

  • This is a 3-Year Contract and Can be Extended if Employer is Satisfied With Performance.

  • Assist the Plasterer With:

  • Mix Plaster Ingredients to Achieve the Desired Consistency;
  • Apply, Level and Smooth Coats of Plaster Using Trowels, Floats, Brushes and Spraying Equipment;
  • Finish Corners and Angles and Create Decorative Designs in Finished Coat if Required;
  • Cure Freshly Plastered Surfaces;
  • Mould and Install Ornamental Plaster Panels;
  • Comics and Trim;
  • Spray Acoustic Materials or Texture Finish Over Walls and Ceilings.
  • Perform Other Laboring Activities as Directed by the plasterer.

  • Minimum 3 Years Experience is required.

  • Must have Minimal English Skills to Communicate With Coworker

  • Study Building Plans and Specifications to Determine the Layout for Plumbing and Related Materials;
  • Locate and Mark Positions for Connections and Fixtures;
  • Cut Holes Through Walls and Floors to Accommodate Pipes;
  • Select the Type and Size of Pipe Required and Measure, Cut Thread, Bend, Clamp, and Solvent, Cement, or Solder Pipe;
  • Assemble and Install Valves and Fittings;
  • Join Pipe Sections and Secure Them in Position;
  • Test Pipe System for Leaks
  • Install Underground Storm Sanitary and Water Piping Systems.

  • Completion of Secondary School is Usually Required.
  • Completion of a Four- to Five-Year Apprenticeship Program or A Combination of Over Five Years of Work Experience in The Trade and Some High School, College or Industry Courses in Plumbing is Usually
